
Sara Keith Takes the Helm as Houston Bar Foundation Chair
In a significant move for the Houston legal community, Sara Keith, esteemed senior legal counsel at Shell USA, Inc., has assumed the role of chair for the Houston Bar Foundation (HBF) for 2025. This transition was marked during an annual luncheon at Hotel ZaZa Museum District, where outgoing chair Linda Hester was honored for her dedicated service.

Sara Keith expressed her enthusiasm for her new role, stating, “I am incredibly honored to serve as the 2025 chair of the Houston Bar Foundation. Her extensive legal background and strategic leadership will be pivotal as the Foundation continues to meet the diverse needs of the Houston community.
Engagement with the Community
Beyond her responsibilities at the HBF, Sara Keith holds several leadership roles, including president of the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC)–Houston Network, and vice president of Shell's Women Adding Value Everywhere (WAVE) Woodcreek Chapter. She also co-leads the 2025 Shell U.S. Legal Pro Bono & Community Service Program Veterans Clinic, reflecting her commitment to community service and outreach in the legal field. Her engagement in such initiatives highlights the importance of supporting legal professionals and underserved populations alike.
Continuing a Legacy of Leadership
Linda Hester, who served as chair in 2024, will continue to contribute to the HBF board as immediate past chair.
